Hi, In this blog I will be looking at how ancient literature, specifically dreams featured in ancient literature has paved the way for dream tropes in modern media. I will be taking into consideration specific dream pieces from ancient literature and ways in which these tropes have evolved into the modern dream tropes we know and love today. Moreover, the dream trope is such an influential and important piece of narrative literature due to its ability to infringe reality and warp our perception of the plot as well as aid in the overall understanding and visualisation of narrative.
